Asian Koi Fish Vase Sculpting Workshop, Sat. 6/21, 6-8pm
Sculpt an Asian style Koi Fish Vase out of clay with your own style! Choose from patterns, textures, and even lettering to create a unique piece of pottery. Use slab clay and hand building techniques taught by our experienced potters with step by step instruction. Once you’re finished, your vase will need time to dry. Then it will be fired in our kiln.
Return after 2 weeks to paint your piece with colorful pottery glazes (no additional cost and no appt. needed). Then it goes into the kiln for a final firing so that it’s waterproof and even food safe. Ready in 2 weeks after painting. Ages 8 and up welcome!
Note: This workshop is sculpting clay at a table, not on the pottery wheel.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled, as instruction will begin promptly at 6pm.
Late arrival of 20 minutes or more will be considered a cancellation without refund.
Registrations are closed 2 hours prior to the workshop so that we can prepare materials.
Aprons are provided, but clay may get on clothing and shoes.
Beverages are allowed to be brought with you, including alcohol for ages 21+.
