Fairy or Haunted House Luminary Sculpting Workshop, Sat. 9/6, 6-8pm
Choose your own style…cute or spooky! A Fairy House for the fall, or a Haunted House for Halloween? Choose from a variety of shapes, patterns, or even lettering to customize it. Use slab clay and hand building techniques taught by our experienced potters with step by step instruction. Trim out areas of clay where the candlelight with show through. Your house will measure about 10” high. Once your sculpture is dry, we will fire it in our kiln.
Return after 2 weeks to paint your House with colorful pottery glazes (no additional cost and no appt. needed). Then it goes into the kiln for a final firing so that it’s waterproof, weatherproof, and safe with a burning candle. Ready in 2 weeks after painting. Ages 8 and up welcome!
Note: This workshop is sculpting clay at a table, not on the pottery wheel.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled, as instruction will begin promptly at 6pm.
Late arrival of 20 minutes or more will be considered a cancellation without refund.
Registrations are closed 2 hours prior to the workshop so that we can prepare materials.
Aprons are provided, but clay may get on clothing and shoes.
Beverages are allowed to be brought with you, including alcohol for ages 21+.
