Owl Luminary Sculpting Workshop, Fri. 5/31, 6-8pm
Sculpt a candle luminary with your own owl design! Choose from shapes and patterns to personalize your piece in your own style. Even lettering! Use slab clay and hand building techniques taught by our experienced potters with step by step instruction. Trim out small areas to let the candlelight shine through! Then your piece will take time to dry, and it will be fired in our kiln.
Return after 2 weeks to paint your Owl Luminary with colorful pottery glazes (no additional cost and no appt. needed). Then it goes into the kiln for a final firing so that it’s safe with a flame and waterproof too. Ready 2 weeks after painting. Ages 8 and up welcome.
Note: This workshop is sculpting clay at a table, not on the pottery wheel.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled, as instruction will begin promptly at 6pm.
Late arrival of 20 minutes or more will be considered a cancellation without refund.
Registrations are closed 2 hours prior to the workshop so that we can prepare materials.
Beverages are allowed to be brought with you, including alcohol for ages 21+.
