Under Water Art Camp, Aug. 13-16, 12-4pm
Four days of art exploration for ages 8 and up! Two projects per day with an Under the Sea theme. Young artists learn different artistic mediums, express themselves, and have lots of fun! They will even learn about the science behind making pottery. Step by step instruction by our experienced artists and potters.
8/13 - Paint your own Under Water apron, and Spin Art pottery wheel bowl
8/14 - Sea Turtle painting on canvas, and Axolotl Mug w/lid sculpting (part 1)
8/15 - Mason jar painting of Jellyfish, and Axolotl Mug w/lid sculpting (part 2)
8/16 - Bubble Glaze plate with sea life, and Ocean themed ceramic painting
Please provide a snack and beverage for a mid-afternoon break each day. Aprons will be provided but paint & clay may get on clothing.
This event will be located inside our air conditioned studio. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled, as instruction will begin promptly at 12pm.
Students will be asked to return after 2 weeks to paint their sculptures with pottery glazes. No appointment needed and no additional charge. They will be fired in our kiln again and ready to be picked up 2 weeks after being painted.
